Manuel-mentions: “Spanky in the original cmwk color-way was made for the Exibition “Let’s Bounce” with Vanessa Art Link in Jakarta Indonesia on 25 February. He comes only 1 time but there are 4 more full color-ways. There is 1 doll in full cyan color, 1 full magenta color, 1 full white color and 1 full black color.

1. Intro: A glimpse of what PopArt is, some basic background on how it evolves into urban art in vinyl toys.
2. Viewing samples, open discussion
3. Sketching

6. Sketch on top of the vinyl toy

Mark Ryden’s will held an exhibition at the Paul Kasmin Gallery. Ryden’s “The Gay 90’s - Olde Tyme Art Show” will open on April 29th and run through June 5th, 2010.

The exhibition take place in CCF Jakarta Gallery, showing pages from their upcoming release “101 Peraturan Konyol Dunia” (”101 Ridiculous Regulations from Around the World).
The comics showing one panel for every ridiculous regulation, with funny illusration by Seven Art Land Studio, edited by young comic activist Beng Rahadian.

The design of the 600 sq ft interior and storefront for the new flagship restaurant Dogmatic Gourmet Sausage System on Union Square, is based on the aesthetics of the butchery, which becomes the generative approach to the project. A 14’x4’ communal butcher-block table is the centerpiece for the space, and incorporates retractable cantilevered seating to avoid any freestanding furniture. A raised built-in banquet on the west wall overlooks the restaurant while providing the base for the Sausage Wall-of Fame. A mural describing the Dogmatic story is baked onto the ceramic tiles using a transfer toner technique. The 11’ tall vertical glass menu board screens a portion of the open kitchen, while hanging off a steel armature from the restaurant hood. Meat hooks support the lighting cylinders on tracks. The custom steel designed storefront doors pivot to allow for maximum openness and connection to the outside.

Four of the greatest name in the young illustrator scene in Indonesia would held a collective exhibition entitled Tinta Terlarang (Forbidden Ink) a wordplay from Cinta Terlarang (Forbidden Love).
The canvases are now showing at CCF Jakarta until they worn out i think.
